Oh, a valentines day episode! I never expected VK to have an episode like this - but oh, well, since all the night class students are bishies and they have rabid fangirls, I think it fits. lol

About Zero, I think just like Yuki, his past involved Kaname-sempai, too? I wonder if Kaname-sempai knows that he is a vampire? Heh, I’m excited! (To the manga readers, please don’t spoil me! T.T)

I’m also curious with the chairman. Most of the time he’s funny and weird - It makes me think even more that he has a secret? Why did he open a school for both humans and vampires? (for peace? Naaah) Is he a vampire too?

Anyway, So far, I still like the VK anime adaptation even though I heard that the manga is much better. I think I’m just going to read it after the anime is finish.

Valentine’s Day is coming up in Cross Academy and so all the day class girls are busy talking about (and making) chocolates for the night class male students.Because of this, Zero and Yuki are even more busy taking care of the school’s “peacefulness”. (and by that, I mean those rabid fangirls’ fangirling~ lmao) Yuki gave the chairman and Zero some kind of paper (I don’t know what it is) as a valentine gift. When the the much awaited day came, all the girls started to give their chocolates and because of this, Yuki failed to give her gift to Kaname-sempai. However, Zero managed to give it to him.

On the other hand, Zero’s vampire side is acting up (but he tried his best to control it.) and because of this, he was acting strange and most of the time, he was pissed off at almost anything. Later that night, when he was patrolling, some night class students confronted him and because naturally he hates vampires, he pulled his “Bloody Rose” gun and provoked a fight. Good thing, Yuki came and stopped them.

Concerned, Yuki went to Zero and helped him clean him up like she used to. Then, she gave him a ball of chocolate, telling him that it was a different valentines gift from the previous ones. Zero made a funny face and so Yuki turned around. Because of this, he noticed her neck and got tempted but immediately left the room. Yuki stayed for a short while and then she noticed a pill laying around the floor.

Episode Highlights

Yuki tried to make a chocolate on her own for Kaname-sempai but ended up buying one.
Zero and Kaname seemed to hate each other?
Kaname accepted the day class girls’ chocolates but gave it to her assistant. He said Yuki’s chocolate alone is enough for him.

Kyou Kara Maou and Soul Eater

First, I’m thinking of dropping Special A. I’ll still continue to watch it but I don’t think I’ll blog about it since Episode 2 is not funny enough for me. Plus, I think every episode has the same plot (Hikari will challenge Kei and then some other non-SA students will challenge them). I’m still curious about the two though. (That’s why I’m still gonna watch it.) Heh, nothing can beat Ouran High School Club and School Rumble for me.

Anyway, here are my first impressions: (this will be short and lame. lol)

Kyou Kara Maou

Ah, KKM. I’m a fan and so I was so thrilled when I found out about the third season. <3 I was searching for a subbed version of episode 1 last week but I didn’t find any. And then, just recently, I found out the Shoku-Dan has released episode 1 and 2 already! Geez. :/

Anyway, I like the new songs but I like the old ones more. I don’t see any special thing about this season. Though, for me, the story of the first season is so far the best. :) Will blog about this once in a while but not in an episodic basis. ^^

Soul Eater

The art’s awesome (for me) and the music too but for me, it reminds me of Bleach, Shaman King and for some reason, One Piece. lol I guess I’ll just going to marathon this when the series is finish.

Is it just me or Watanuki looked like he’s dancing the carameldansen here? lol

I love this episode (I love the manga chapter too!) and I’m glad that I finally saw this one in animation form but the manga is still the best for me. Himawari-chan is really bad luck! Watanuki should really stay away from her and get closer even more to Doumeki. ♥ ~~(So we, WataDou fans will be much more happy!XD)~~

Watanuki decided to help Doumeki clean his place (and to bring some food too) but when he arrived he saw Doumeki reading some books. He asked him if he’s looking for a way to restore his eyes and Doumeki said yes. Watanuki complained but help him search in the end. Eventually, they’ve found a book written by Doumeki’s grandfather and in there, a way to restore Watanuki’s eyes was written. Then after a short while (and when Doumeki is a bout to read the texts), Watanuki noticed something in Himawari’s book. It turned out that it was some kind of spritual monster and it started to eat the texts in Himawari’s book and then in Doumeki’s grandfather’s book. Doumeki wanted to get the book but Watanuki stopped him saying that Yuuko can do something about it. And so, Yuuko appeared! She then made the monster eat the texts of Doumeki’s grandfather’s seals and after that, the monster became something similar to a thread. (?)

The following day, after school, Watanuki met the Karasutengu and they forced him to take them to Yuuko’s shop. In the shop, they told Yuuko that the Zashiki Warashi (Vestal Sprite) was kidnapped and they want to save her. They want help and they’re willing to give a Tengu’s fan as an exchange. After hearing their wish, Yuuko agreed to help them but since the value of a Tengu’s fan is more than what they wish for, Yuuko suggested that Watanuki should go with them.

Episode Highlights

Watanuki told Doumeki that the food he brought him were leftovers but the truth is that he really cooked it for him.
Watanuki saw some strange visions in his right eye - a crow and some other. (I think this is in the spirit world.)
A catgirl showed up and saw Watanuki. She told him that there’s some kind of contest in the spirit world for his eye.
Himawari-chan mentioned Kohane-chan in this episode.
Watanuki (along with the pipe fox) agreed to save Zashiki Warashi

Full Metal Alchemist 82

Chapter 82 is just awesome. ^^ It’s nice to see Ed wear a different costume for a change (It really reminds me of Winry! LOL) but I kinda miss his red attire actually. -_-;

I’m pretty excited about the battle between Hohenheim and father. I hope to see more twists - considering that Lust and Gluttony have died and Envy is nothing more than a tiny ugly thing. Right now, they only have Pride, Sloth and Wrath (but I think of all the 7 homunculi, Pride and Wrath are the toughest and Sloth is pretty strong). I still don’t know about Greed, if he’s completely gone or he’s just acting as Ling. But hey, it’s nice to see Ling again. :)

Itazura na Kiss 02

Things have changed! I so love this episode! XD This time, Naoki, at last revealed his funny side. (lol I mean the story made him funny) When I was watching this episode, I swear I won’t hate him anymore. His reactions to Kotoko’s “evilness” are just uber funny. And he’s just so cute in those photo albums! ( ﾟ∀ﾟ)ｱﾊﾊ八八ﾉヽﾉヽﾉヽﾉ＼ / ＼/ ＼ Oba-sama~ go!Plus, it’s good to see his somewhat nice side even though it was just because of Kotoko’s blackmail.

Anyway, I think I’m beggining to like the opening song, eh what is it again? Kimi, Meguru, Boku (キミ、メグル、ボク)” by Motohiro Hata? Oh yeah! I’ll go hunt for it. :D

So, Kotoko found out that his dad’s friend is Naoki’s father and that they have to live with him and his family. The family’s nice but Naoki’s still rude to her to the point that he ignored her in the train and told her not to talk to him in school. Then, due to recent turn of events, Kotoko blackmailed Naoki to help her study so she can be at the top 50 students who passed the examination. During their lessons, Kotoko and Naoki somehow bonded and Kotoko thought that Naoki might actually be nice. But in the end, Kotoko ended up hating-loving Naoki again.

Episode Hightlights

Naoki’s mom likes to stalk and take pictures of Naoki and Kotoko.
She then showed Kotoko Naoki’s pictures whe he was still a child (His mom made him wear girly clothes)
Kotoko used the pictures to blackmail Naoko to help her study for the exams (Her goal is to be at the top 50)
Naoki showed his good side to Kotoko in this episode.
Kotoko passed and Naoki congratulated her.
At the end, everyone in school (because of Kotoko’s friends) found out about Naoki and Kotoko’s secret. For this Naoki got mad at Kotoko.

I must say poor Kotoko-chan for loving such an evil guy. (Oh noes, I said I won’t hate him anymore) :(

My New Anime blog + Random Thoughts

At last! My anime/otaku blog FuAN ブラグ -which I think means “Fan Blog” since FuAN (ファン/fwan) is the japanese way of pronouncing fan and ブラグ or buragu or blog - well, it’s self explanatory yadda yadda. XD

Now that I have an anime blog, well, I realized that keeping a blog like this is a huge task. I mean, with all the good anime blogs around plus, because of my work (I’m a freelance web designer, btw) I think I’ll be having a hard time keeping up with the new titles, specially now that I have tons in my watchlist.

Speaking of watchlist, I’m currently watching (in this season) xxxHolic, Kyou Kara Maou, Vampire Knight, Itazura na Kiss and Special A. (yay shoujo pawaaa!!!!1) I’ve downloaded Kurenai and Soul Eater but I think I’ll just watch it later if I’m in the mood for those kinds.

Then there’s Ghost Hound too, of course. I’m on episode 21 :) 2 episodes to go for me. I hope I’ll like the ending. (Yeah, I know some people have blogged it already but I don’t want to spoil myself.) =P

But of course, I won’t stick to episode reviews alone. I’m planning to blog about other finished series too.

Special A 01

Yay for comedy anime! <3 and aaaw for long legs! :o (For me, only holic has the right to have characters with long legs, lmao) Well, this episode is so funny for me - I love it! I’m putting all my hopes that future episodes will be funnier. :3 I love HikarixKei! I want to see what will happen to their, err… ~~love story~~rivalry? (Oh noes! I hope I won’t be tempted to read the manga!) I really love when Kei calls Hikari ni-san and her reaction is just so funny! LOL I think I’m overusing the word ‘funny’ here.

Anyway, the first few scenes (the childhood scenes) really gave me an idea that it’s a wrestling anime and I’m glad it’s not because I hate sports anime (except for Slam Dunk).

The first episode is as usual (like any other) an introduction of the story and characters. Special A is about Hanazono Hikari being only second to Takishima Kei in almost everything. It started when Takishima defeated her in a wrestling match during their childhood (both of their fathers were wrestling fanatics). And so after that, Hikari keeps on challenging him, to the point that she asked her dad to enroll her in the school where Takashima is currently in.

Episode Hightlights
- Other Special A students were introduced - Yamamoto Jun, Yamamoto Megumi, Karino Tadashi, Toudou Akira, Tsuji Ryuu
- In this episode, Hikari challenged Takashima in PE and in an exam but lost both.
- Hikari and Kei fought some nasty students who sneaked into the teacher’s faculty (?) to see the exams questions.
- Takashima Kei (and the rest of S.A) celebrated his birthday in this episode too.
- Yamamoto Megumi can destroy the whole school with her singing.

Vampire Knight 01

For someone like me who haven’t read the VK manga, I got curious with the anime so I downloaded episode 1 and I’m happy that I did. :) First, I like the art and animation. It really gave me a vampire-ish feeling and gawd, all the boys are bishies. <3 (my fangirl side, sorry. lmao). Yuki is cute too and episode 1 is just awesome for me. Second, I find the opening song very catchy and I think I like it. Third, I really like the story, I’m hoping to see lots of action and love (but it’s shoujo, right?) I think I’m going to follow this series till the end.

Song: Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi 「ふたつの鼓動と赤い罪」 by ON/OFF

When Yuki was still a child, she got attacked by a vampire in the woods but she was saved by Kaname, who turned out to be a vampire too. Kaname bought her to Kaien Cross who became her poster father. Years later, Yuki is now a student in Cross Academy (where her father is the chairman). There, she is one of the prefects (the other is Zero, also adopted by Kaien Cross) and their job is to make sure that the day class students are not lurking around during the night class. It is later revealed that this is because the night class students are actually vampires.

Episode Highlights
- Yuki doesn’t remember anything before the vampire attack incident.
- Zero’s family was killed by evil vampires and so that’s why Zero hates vampires.
- Aidou-sempai sucked Yuki’s blood (in her hand). This was seen by two day class female students but their memories of this incident were altered.
- At the end of the episode, it was shown that Zero is a vampire too.

Itazura na Kiss 01

First, SHOUJO ANIME ARE AWESOME CUTE! <3 Second, I love Kotoko’s expressions. :D And third, well, I keep comparing this to the Taiwanese drama >.< but since this is an anime blog, I should pay attention to anime aspects more! Hmp, well, I like the animation style. I haven't seen any shoujo titles for a while now so this is so refreshing for me. :p One thing though, I don't like Naoki, he's not cute. :( LOL He looks evil! (He really is evil, anyway. LOL) and even Kinnosuke (Kin-chan! XD) is like the not-so-good-looking-but-funny-guy type, I find him cute. :3

The opening scenes, well, of course, tell us all about the series. The song “Kimi, Meguru, Boku (キミ、メグル、ボク)” by Motohiro Hata is just ‘ok’ for me though. (Actually, I’m not really into shoujo anime songs, well except for KareKano) bu well, I guess it’s cute. :3

Kotoko has a crush on the school genius Naoki. She decided to confess and when she finally did it, she found out that Naoki hates dumb girls like her. She got upset, of course, but her friends (including Kinnosuke, a classmate who has big crush on her) comforted her. Later, she moved to a new house with her father. When her friends came to visit her, an earthquake occurred and their new house was destroyed. The following day and after school, Kotoko’s father told her that one of his friends offered them to live (for the mean time) in his house. It turned out that the friend of her father is none other than Naoki’s dad!

ENDING (CREDITS)

All I can say about the ending sequence that Kotoko is really cute! :3

Ozine Fest 08

Ozine Fest? it’s a yearly anime convention here in the Philippines. It was my first time to attend yesterday and well, I can say it was fun but I did not fully enjoy it. First, traveling from Megamall to Las Piñas is so very tiring. Second, there are so many people that I wanted to go home ;_; Third, I have to take care of a friend so I didn’t get the chance to look around. T.T Too bad I missed the Tuxedo Team! >.>;

Mega Trade Hall 2 is too small for the venue, I must say! T.T It’s too hot and crowded, I swear! I even stayed outside more. >.>; Though, though, though, I think the only enjoyable thing there (and probably the consolation) is to see the cosplayers. (: I think my favorite is Honey-sempai! ♥
